Having worked in a medical practice for a year now, as part of the administration staff, I've learned a few things. There is a lot of stuff that the "lay person" does not know about medical aids. If you live in South Africa, you may want to read this.

For it or against it?
If there is one key on my keyboard that bugs me more than others it would be the "insert" key. I'm a receptionist and do a lot of typing and never use this key. The only time I ever hit it is by accident and then it undoes something I had just typed. Not impressed.
What would be a reason to like the "insert" key? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Post your comments below. Thanks. :)

Can you say "Neglect"? What a sad state of affairs that my blog has been so neglected for so long. So today I'm "getting my geek on" and updating this baby.
I can't even say how much has happened since my last post. Crazy hey? It has definitely been over a year since I was in Switzerland.
What has happened in short:
After Switzerland I moved to Port Elizabeth, South Africa for four months. (An old draft that somehow never got published from my time in Schweiz)
Today was a helluva long day for me but one that I will remember for an even longer time. I took a train trip around the south-eastern part of Switzerland and it was phenomenol. I could not have asked for better quality for money.
Saw snow topped mountains, steep valleys, houses covered in snow, cute kiddies, snow falling for the first time in my life (in real life), changed trains more times Kathhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14992874006266691924noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2115111408902418779.post-1874149246658215832011-03-17T01:08:00.000+02:002011-03-17T01:08:05.181+02:00Prayers and thoughts for JapanThe old adage still stands: "Time flies when you're having fun." Hope I didn't scare the kids with my last post. I admit it was pretty depressing. At least now that I'm feeling better I can look back and appreciate the poetic side of myself.
God knows how to lift me up, and so He did. I am ever thankful to Him for the grace He has given to me. He really lights up my life.

Truly there is no other like it. He paid with His life to save mine. This evening I went with the mom of my host family here in Switzerland to a women's meeting. I went to the Bodensee with Willie (who had the afternoon off) and the two dogs. He took Cody, the cute black dog from my previous post, and I took Noah. It was really lovely to look at the geese on the water and to watch the dogs play with other dogs in the park. Noah took it nice and slow, being an old man and all. He stopped every so often to sniff at the various scents. Hey everyone
I finally made it to Switzerland! After a number of trips to the Swiss Embassy in Pretoria, postponing my flight and a lot of stressing, I finally got a Shengen Visa. I flew with Swiss Airlines. It was however Jesse Clegg's turn last night and he and his band rocked our socks off at the Lyrics Theatre in Gold Reef City! In my grade 4 or 5 year we were assigned to do a geography project on a country of our choice. I chose Switzerland and have been enamored with the place ever since.
